Michal Iwanowski Discusses Lithuanian Residency

Michal Iwanowski discussed his residency with Nicola Mullenger from the European Cultural Foundation.

Last year, Michal was invited to a residency with The Lithuanian Photographers Association in Kaunas, Lithuania for 4 weeks to create a body of work. The resulting work was shown in the exhibition, Clear of People at Ffotogallery, Cardiff from 7 February – 8 March 2014. Iwanowski's work retraces an epic journey his grandfather and great uncle made in 1945 after escaping from a prisoner-of-war camp in Russia, and in extreme hardship walked 2000 km to Poland in search of their family.
