Lucy Art Residency 2019

The Lucy Art Residency is happy to announce its third open call for the 2019 residency program and commission for visual artists working with photography.

The program offers the opportunity for an artist based in Europe and the Mediterranean whose main practice is photography focused to spend two weeks in June 2019 in Kavala, Greece. It is free to apply and the selected artist will have the opportunity to live and work in the coastal city in the north of Greece with transportation, accommodation and subsistence covered.

 

What does the residency offer?

The selected artist will be offered free accommodation in the five-star Lucy Hotel in Kavala. In addition to that the artist's return trip from his/her country of residence is covered, as well as three meals a day at the hotel premises. Furthermore a per diem and an artist fee for the production of one artwork will be provided. Opportunities to meet with local art organisations and members of the community will be encouraged. During the Lucy Artist Residency Talks weekend, the artist will meet with Jurors in person and will have the time to discuss their praxis with them at length.
