Daniel Blau is pleased to announce the gallery’s second edition of our annual competition for young photographers.

Five winning photographers will be selected to participate in a group exhibition organised and publicised by Daniel Blau gallery. This is a unique opportunity for emerging artists to gain recognition through an internationally renowned gallery.

Eligibility

All photographers aged 29 and under on the submission closing date of Saturday 31st May 2014 are eligible to apply.

There are no restrictions on artist nationality/residency, however photographers must be able to physically bring their work to the gallery in order to apply.

We welcome submissions from applicants to our 2013 competition. The five winners of our 2013 competition are not eligible to apply.

There is no fee to apply.

Submission guidelines

Eligible photographers who wish to enter the competition should submit up to 10 photographs for consideration by Daniel Blau gallery. The photographs should be arranged in a portfolio or otherwise collated in some way.

For the 2014 edition of our 5 Under 30 competition we welcome submissions of up to 10 photographs in a single photographic series/project. The photographs should be accompanied by a project description (up to one page) and a bio (up to one page).

The photographs must be unframed and in labelled protective sleeves. Only 2D works will be accepted. Maximum size of each print is 10 x 16 inches (25 x 40 cm).

Applicants must hand deliver their work to the gallery between the following dates: Tuesday May 27th – Saturday May 31st, 11am-6pm.
