Krakow Photomonth

Festivals | 15 May 2014 - 15 June 2014

The Krakow Photomonth 2014 programme is made up of several dozen exhibitions and events, and held in Krakow’s best exhibition spaces, accompanied by meetings, workshops, projections and lectures. The festival is organised by the Foundation for Visual Arts.

Krakow Photomonth 2014’s Main Programme will be curated by Aaron Schuman, the American-born and UK-based photographer, writer, editor, curator, and lecturer at the University of Brighton and the Arts University Bournemouth. Schuman is the founder and editor of "SeeSaw", the online photography magazine. A photographer in his own right, his writings on the medium have additionally been widely disseminated in just about every influential photography publication in print.

This year’s Main Programme will be composed of three blocks: the Experimental Section; a set of nine exhibits to be presented within prestigious museum and gallery spaces across Krakow; and Masters’ Series meetings with artists and curators. What’s more, the Main Programme will be complemented, as in years past, by the ShowOFF Section exhibition, the 9th Portfolio Review, a series of workshops, and the usual eclectic array of accompanying events set to take place over the course of the month-long festival.
