Genres of Photography considers the photographic image as a set of distinct practices, which can nevertheless be mutated through the blurring of their boundaries. The course looks at the way different photographic genres establish and enable the distribution of certain types of effect and meaning.

Following his exhibition Perhaps as part of the PhotoBiennial Greece, The Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography are running a masterclass with the artist Javier Vallhonrat. Entrance to the workshop is free.

OjodePez Photo Meeting Barcelona is an international meeting organised by La Virreina Image Centre and La Fábrica. On 15, 16 and 17 July it will host portfolio viewings, roundtables, talks, workshops and lectures open to the public.

The Photography Show returned to the NEC for the fifth year, between 17-20 March 2018. Full to the brim with everything a passionate photography enthusiast or a well-seasoned professional photographer could possibly dream of; including the latest technology from all the leading brands, demos of the latest kit, conference sessions and a complete range of talks and seminars it was the perfect place for photographers, whatever their level.

Dating from 1880 onwards, the photos are mostly of unnamed and unknown figures – having been mainly collected from flea markets, garage sales, junk shops and ebay - and as such offer an unauthorised view into the worlds of individuals and groups choosing to defy gender conventions.
