Kaunas Photography Gallery is offering three residency opportunities as part of the European Prospects project.

Dates and duration of the residencies: The successful artist, curator or art researcher will work over an agreed period from 2 weeks to 6 weeks between 1 July 2014 and 30 December 2014, spending a minimum of 14 consecutive days working in Kaunas.

Description: The brief for the residency is open, and we are looking for interesting and creatively ambitious proposals from photographers, curators, art critics and art historians from the European Region*.

Applicants will be evaluated on criteria including the artistic or professional excellence of the applicant’s work and quality of their proposal and the extent to which the residency will contribute to the artist’s development and be consistent with the applicant’s creative goals and professional development.

Two curators or art researchers will receive a €3,000 bursary and one artist a €4000 bursary towards the costs of time and materials, with additional support towards production costs for presentation of final work, travel to Kaunas, and accommodation during the residency.
